We left Cherokee Springs, Hatch, UT on Thursday, June 19th. We are traveling with our new Escapee friends, Betty and Jay. We followed them to Salina, Ut where we stayed at the Butch Cassidy Campground. We were there as work crew volunteers to help at a balloon festival. We helped Kent Barnes put up his balloon, "Out of the Blue" each morning for three days. Betty and Jay helped a crew from the Czech Republic. We both got to go up with our pilots on the last morning. It was fabulous.

On Sunday we followed Betty and Jay to Evanston, WY and the next day we traveled to Rawlins and then on Tuesday we stayed in Casper. We stopped frequently along the way to learn about the emigrants and pioneers who traveled the Oregon and California trails to Salt Lake City and beyond. On Wednesday we arrived in Gillette, WY and this morning we just got settled in the Escapade campground. We will attend all the events of Escapade for the next week.
